FAQ

1.) There is a light version of Planetensuche?
In past there was a version without pictures. Since version 6.22 only the full version is available.

2.) Can I used the pictures and the notes also for other use cases?
The pictures and notes are subject the copyright and because of this you can only use them for private use cases. It's forbidden to trading with the pictures / notes or to published under other author name (see license). If you like to use the pictures / notes for non-private use cases (for example a lecture), please send me an E-Mail, with the reason / use case. I / the author maybe can allow this.

3.) I don't know about my computer hardware. Where can I get some information's?
The next description is for MS Windows 9x, ME, NT, 2000 and XP, if you logged in as an administrator:
First please click on „Start“ and then on „Settings“ – „System control“. Into the open window please click on „System“. Now you can see:

Now close the window („System“) and click into the „System control“ on „Anzeige“. Then choose the mask „Settings“. In the open window you can see:
the used colors in Bit (16 or 256 Colors; 16, 24 or 32 Bit)

Then you can show how many hard disk space is free if you open the Windows Explorer. There please click on the hard disk drive (for example C: ) and view the properties, where you like to install Planetensuche. Now you can see:
the hard disk capacity
the actually used space
the actually free space

4.) Supports Planetensuche multi processor (alternatively multi-core processors) / or 64 Bit systems?
Planetensuche is hardware and operating system independent, because of this it can't be optimized for selected processors. A support for 64-Bit operating systems are automatic by the local installed Java Virtual Machine (JVM), there are for 32 and 64-Bit operating systems. But the speed between this are very low.
For functions into Planetensuche, where it is to make sense, data were to handle from multiple threads (or cores) or other optimized things.
